Dr. Kaul is a distinguished cardiologist, and a veritable pioneer of coronary interventions in India.
He is credited with introducing into India such innovative Interventional Cardiology techniques as rotational and directional atherectomy, coronary stenting, percutaneous laser myocardial revascularization and percutaneous cardiopulmonary bypass technique for performing a high-risk coronary angioplasty
A former Professor of Cardiology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Kaul is on the faculty of several leading universities in the USA, Europe, Far East, China and Australia.
Dr. Kaul is a past President of the Cardiological Society of India, and is the recipient of numerous prestigious professional awards, among them the Dr. B.C. Roy Award. He is currently Vice-President of the SAARC Cardiac Society.
